OK FOR ARADIA!! her first impression of rider is that he's p cool, he's a dragon trainer and also he seems to be the kind of person that's got his head on his shoulders, and he's also very considerate ///// asking tavros about troll diet and such, those are things she hadn't even thought about. if she remembered more about tavros, she'd compare the two of them, because they're both pretty fuck you to their respective societies re: violence, as well as both being animal whisperers, but she doesn't remember that. so! she just thinks, oh cool, he's pretty cool with animals and also dragons and he seems like an adventurous type!!! i like those types!! we should go on adventures together!!! and a lot of what aradia is doing with all of her interaction is taking it at face-value and also being pretty lax about it; she's cool with having a billion conversations that have nothing to do with anything serious and essentially bullshitting with someone every time she talks to them, because she's feeling out social interaction again, and she's taking everything in stride - and SERIOUS CONVERSATION ALL DAY ALL THE TIME isn't really something she's going to default tooooo, like. she's okay with having serious conversations all the time! she's okay with bullshitting all the time! she's pretty 0k with everything, because on one hand if it's serious she'll appreciate its seriousness and if it's bullshitting, she's lighthearted and likes to bullshit. and if she feels like there's a serious subject, or something that she has realizedddd that's pretty serious - like rider's secrets in the secrets trauma game, she's subtle about it. she won't actually try to bring it up or anything, but when she learns serious things about her teammates, she tries to reflect on it and translate it to what she should do. so - rider's already someone who she feels like she can rely on, he was her interrogation subject when she got there and he seems p good and used to everything that goes on in aather, he's been here for a while. and while she likes to lightheartedly talk to him and do things, when in serious situations she wants to gear herself to more obviously rely on rider and show her appreciation for him, that's what she thought of with the secrets game. also, he comforted her about being dead! which isn't something she needed, because she's prettty okay with it, and also tavros quested not to be dead so she knows it's not really a permanent thing, death is really just a status effect with no real consequence (well there is consequence, but she sure didn't care about the consequence when she was dead. she was actually pretty 0k with it.) but he comforted her and he was concerned for her and she appreciates that.
